Preparation:
1) Vacuuming is a most important part of preparing for control. It alone will not solve the problem, but can substantially reduce bed bugs numbers and thus help reduce the population before preparing for treatment.
Unless there is a major infestation in the mattress or box spring do not dispose. The dragging will cause bedbugs to drop off and settle in a new location. If they MUST be disposed make sure they are carefully covered before removal.
Note 68% of all bedbug infestations require three or more treatments, 26% require two treatments and 6% require one treatment.
2) Everything that can be laundered should be laundered including drapes in advance of the treatment, and then placed in plastic bags. The items to be laundered should be securely tied into plastic bags, and emptied directly from the bags into the machines. Dispose of the bags immediately, it is heat not water that kills bedbugs so wash in hot water, regardless of normal washing directions, and should be dried with medium to high heat for 20 minutes or more
3) Place the straw, (located on the side of the can) onto the nozzle of the can of Bedlam and spray along the crevices of the mattress and box spring.
Be sure to put the tip on the nozzle as it is best when used as foam.
4) Then take the tip off and spray the entire mattress with Bedlam.
If you have box springs, spray those as well.
5) Place the Mattress cover on the bed and TAPE the opening of the mattress.
Keep it sealed for a minimum of 24 hours
6) Spray the bedlam on the legs of the bed and along the frame of the bed. It is important to get every area where bed bugs may live so use the spray liberally.
7) If you have any sofa's or chairs, spray the cushions or pillows and place in a protected cover or bag. Spray bedlam throughout the sofa and chairs. Remember to get under the chairs and sofa's as well. Then put the sofa and chair covers on accordingly for 12 hours. Do not replace the cushions and pillows until the room has been checked upon completion of application.
8) Take out all drawers and spray bedlam under and on top of each. As well as inside And under the furniture.
9) Take the Delta Dust and fill the bulb.
10) Use the delta dust bulb along all the base board, crevices, inside of furniture.
If there are open crevices where bed bugs are seen, use the bedlam directly on the problem.
11) If the room has carpeting, lift the edges and first place the delta dust under the carpeting along the entire circumference of the room.
12) Once the delta dust is placed under the carpeting, place the carpeting down and spray Bedlam along the edge of the carpeting.
13) In no less then 12 hours, you can take off all covers. Remove them carefully as they may have bed bugs in them. After removed, take the covers and place them in a garbage bag and close it shut. Remove the garbage from the room.
14) You are now ready to have your linen back on the bed.
15) The last step is to take the Bed Beg Gel and place it along the legs of your bed and furniture.
Make sure you get it on all sides of the legs.
If treated properly, your problems will disappear.
Please note that bedbugs will be driven out of one room and into the adjacent rooms.
It is advised that adjacent rooms be treated as well.
